The Institute of Social and Cultural Studies (ISCS), India organized its Annual Planning Meeting on 30th of April, 2022. The meeting itself was a symposium of Institutional members, advisory
board members, Trustees and well wishers. Arindam Mukherjee, The Director of the Institute as a part of his welcome address expressed his gratitude towards the working team, members and associates of the Institute for extending their support and encouraging the organization in its initiatives and activities. The event was regarded extremely special as the Institute has marked its 10 years of journey in 2021 itself. Therefore the Programme Administrator of the Institute through a power point presentation, appraised the participants about the chapters of the institute, research initiatives along with the working of the institute’s publication cell in details. Followed to which the Institute’s Annual Report for the year 2021-2022 was released by the Director of the Institute in presence of Sri Krishnendu Bakshi, Programme Co-ordinator and Sri Biswajit Ganguly, Managing Member of Sri Aurobindo Bhavan, Kolkata. The discussion followed with presentation and deliberation of the Director himself as he outlined initiatives and interesting research topics along with some publications – that the Institute would be undertaking during the year 2022-2023.
The participants also shared some interesting ideas, activities and suggestions during the discussion session. Among other objectives, that was discussed at the meeting, more emphasis was given on planning events and international conclave as a part of Azadi Ki Amrit Mahotsav, as the nation would be celebrating its 75th Year in August 2022. The members and associates of the Institute shared their compliments and wishes for the working members for their tireless efforts for the entire year. The interaction continued over lunch between the
participants and team members.
