ISCS’S 6th Annual Planning Meeting

The Institute of Social and Cultural Studies (ISCS) organized 6thAnnual Planning Meeting at The Floatel-Jetty 9, 10 Strand Rd, Kolkata-700001. The ISCS organizes its Annual Planning Meeting every year in order to review its previous year’s performance and also to design a blueprint of its initiates for the coming year altogether.

The planning meeting marked the assemblage of institute’s members, stakeholders and bastions who have been supporting the institute and its work in multiple ways. The meeting initiated with a welcome note followed to which a two minute of silence was observed by all the participants to pay homage to all the martyrs who have lost their lives in the Pahalgam Terrorist Attack on 22nd April, 2025.

The first phase of the planning meeting gave an overview of the institute’s previous year’s range of activities. The presentation in a précised form provided an outlook of the initiatives that took place and the institute’s objectives behind those.  It featured on the institute’s range of enhanced activities and transcending networks that are enabling the institute to carry out divergent yet macro scale activities.

The conclusion of the phase one was marked with the formal release of the ISCS’s Annual Report for the year 2024-2025 by The Director of the Institute Shri Arindam Mukherjee and other ISCS’s Associates namely Shri Krishnenedu Baksi, Dr.Jhumpa Mukherjee, Shri Raj Basu and Shri Gautam Chakraborty.

The second phase of the meeting presented the ideas and the planner which the institute would like to take up in the coming year. The discussion and presentation was initiated by the Director. The chapter wise planners of the event along with the proposed set of ISCS’s publications were also shared with the participants.

The final phase of the meeting marked interaction between the members of the organization and the participants of the meeting surrounding the range of initiates that ISCS had proposed for the coming year. The Planning meeting along with associates also attained the participation of the young scholars and students who also shared their ideas and views on the organizational structural and functional pedagogy

The Annual Planning Meeting concluded with the National Anthem and with a pledge of working harder, facilitating union of multi-sectoral communities and harnessing its efforts towards a more diverse and comprehensive range of research through its chapter initiates.
