5th Annual Planning Meeting

The Institute of Social and Cultural Studies (ISCS), India organized its 5th Annual Meeting at The Hotel Polo Floatel, Kolkata in order to review the work of its previous year and also develop a blueprint of its forthcoming initiatives.

The event was participated by all the members of the organization along with academicians who have been contributing to institute’s multiple chapters, experts from various fields who have been supporting the institute with vibrant ideas to catapult institutes initiatives and range of publications altogether.

The event started with a Power Point presentations that shared a wide range of activities that the institute had initiated within 2023-2024 financial year. The slides gave a purview of the initiatives that the institute had undertaken within its range of chapters, institute’s publication released during Kolkata International Book fair, outreach programmes that it had organized and student’s participation it had received through multifarious initiatives.

The session followed with the official release of the institute’s Annual Report 2023-2024 by the institute’s Director along with other team members and eminent guests. The second session also marked presentations by the Director of the Institute himself who divulge the chapterwise initiatives that the institute had planned out comprising of the national and international events, policy dialogues and multi-sectoral meets on issues like securing, energy conservation, connectivity and cultural exchanges. Institute had chosen Indonesia as a theme country in 2024-25 as India-Indonesia cooperation would mark its 75th and henceforth number of initiatives and publications have been laid out featuring the cultural exchanges, multi-lateral co-operations amongst the two countries over decades that have been facilitated.

The meeting turned out to be extremely stimulating as the experts and ISCS team members exchanged various ideas compounding ISCS research activities, methodologies, usage of innovative tools and practices in order to enrich its research and digital archiving of institute’s documents and datas. In other words the meeting like all the other prior ones encouraged brainstorming session and pooling of ideas to keep Institute entangled with knowing developing-divulging and disseminating.
