Cultural Diplomacy, Cultural Promotion and Public Liaison Techniques

The Institute of Social and Cultural Studies (ISCS) organized a six day course work on “Cultural Diplomacy,
Cultural Promotion and Public Liaison Techniques” between 11-16th July, 2022 at the RTC, ICCR, Kolkata
for the 32 newly recruited officials of The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), India.
The Course work was designed with an objective to :

  • To orient newly entitled officials of ICCR about Cultural Diplomacy, Cultural Promotion and Public Liaison
    techniques
  • To enable participants with capacity to examine history, geographies of religion and social changes shaping India
    and its soaring role at a global stage.
  • To surface ideas on how soft diplomacy as creative process through debate, joint reflections, research and
    experimentation is supporting foreign policy and enabling to correspond on objectives that are of national interest.
  • To orient on the module and key objectives of ICCR and regional centers of ICCR contributing towards Indian
    cultural diplomacy and soft power policy
